Begin your Western Education here.

If you didn’t receive a classical education on the great works that shaped Western Civilization, I understand. I made it to adulthood without ever really engaging with most of the philosophy, literature, religion, and art that shaped the world in which I lived. I was unaware of the air I breathed.

That’s why I have put together this project to help others like me – men and women trying to understand their cultural heritage and rich tradition – in order to serve as a guide to getting started.

I’m not a leading scholar. I can’t give you a semester course on these topics or Western Cultural pillars. However, I can help you dip your toe in as I did and grow to know, love, and honor the Western Tradition we’ve received.

Transmission of the Western tradition is the work of each generation. It cannot be done

We each need to do the work of educating ourselves and others on our tradition, or else there will be nothing left to offer the next generation.

“The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost.”

― G.K. Chesterton

If you love what you’ve received and want to become a well-rounded citizen of the West, this is a place to get started.

The resources provided here can help you get a lay of the land and learn about your culture, keep on reading.
